The teacher-in-front-of-the-class model of educati The teacher-in-front-of-the-class model of education is over. While education has undergone minor changes, it’s mostly the same as it was 100 years ago. Every industry has radically changed, except education. Why??🤷🏼‍♀️
🚩🚩🚩 There’s a very common red flag I can almost gu 🚩🚩🚩 There’s a very common red flag I can almost guarantee you don’t even know to look for in your child’s school.

It’s an innocent “mistake”, but it reveals a hugely important piece of information.

The red flag? Classroom layout. In any school- public, private, charter, magnet, etc… assess the classroom layout.

If the classrooms are designed to prioritize the teacher-in-front-of-the-classroom model? That’s an issue. Think: one teacher’s desk at the front of the room, next to the white board, and a room full of desks all lined up neatly in rows.

Green flag classroom design would be any layout that prioritizes group discussions, collaboration, and free thinking.

Maybe desks are in a big circle in the room, or clumped into groups. Maybe there are no desks! Maybe there are creative seating options like tents, booths, couches, bean bags, etc.
Take a look at some of the videos on my account to get an idea.

If a school’s leadership truly understands learning science, they’ll ensure that classrooms are laid out in a way that’s conducive to collaborative learning.

We believe that students should love school-it’s o We believe that students should love school-it’s our #1 commitment. We survey our students every six weeks and 94% say they “love school.” This Minecraft workshop is a perfect example why. We use Minecraft and other popular activities (laser tag, mountain climbing, painting, forming a band, creating a food truck, etc.) to teach real-world life skills. The kids love it because it’s fun, the parents love it because it teaches skills that can actually be used, like critical thinking, financial literacy, public speaking, doing hard things, creativity, and so much more.
Life skills class is in session, and we’re tacklin Life skills class is in session, and we’re tackling emotional well-being. In this workshop, students tracked their own biometric markers while completing stressful tasks.

They then practiced calming techniques and watched as their data reflected the improvements.

We have time to complete in-depth workshops like this because our AI-powered academic learning is so powerfully efficient.

These students presented their work at South by Southwest this year- they did so great!! 💙
When you use AI software to personalize learning f When you use AI software to personalize learning for every student the possibilities are amazing. Our results are public and a direct link can be found in my story.
